Nicoletta Mattioli Hary, passed to God on October 4 after a short illness. She is now with Laszlo Bela Hary, her husband of fifty years who was the love of her life. She is survived by her four children: Laszlo Hary and wife Elisabetta; Maria Dent, husband John and children John Andrew, Alex and Katie; Francesca Hary and children Laura (Shay) and Laszlo (Kai); Stephen Hary, wife Amy and children Elizabeth, Kyle, Sophia and Kiah; and sister Patrizia Mattioli Spano'. Born in Turin, Italy, Dr. Hary graduated from the University of Naples with a Ph.D in German. She continued her studies at the Vatican Library School. Dr. Hary received her second doctorate from Indiana University. A natural linguist, Dr. Hary spoke five languages. She worked as a librarian for the University of Notre Dame, the U.S. Government and the University of Dayton for a total working life of over 60 years of service in libraries. She will be missed by family, friends from all over the world, and colleagues she assisted during her lengthy career for her kindness, her devotion to Mary, Mother of God, and her wisdom. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church in Riverside on Saturday, October 7 at 10:30 AM. A private burial will occur at the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations to the St. Helen School Endowment Fund. Arrangements are in care of Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel.
