Nola Day, 101, passed away March 22, 2017 at the Independent Chateau of Independence, MO. Nola was born September 14, 1915 in Lebonon, MO, the daughter of Arthur and Essie (Breakfield) O’Quinn. Nola married Eldon Hall on July 11, 1936, to this union, one daughter was born, Dana Gobble. Eldon preceded her in death on April 21, 1954. She later married Theron Day of Marshfield, MO., on June 17, 1956. Theron preceded her in death December 13, 2007. Nola worked at Texas County Memorial Hospital in 1959 and became hospital administrator before retiring. Nola was a resident of the Independent Chateau for almost 12 years. In addition to her husbands, Nola was preceded in death by one brother, Olan O’Quinn of Lebonon , MO; three sisters, Thelma McShane of Conway, MO, Wilma Addison and Ruby Hawkins both of Lebonon, MO. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Gobble (Lee) of Independence; two grandchildren, Danny Gobble (Deana) and Shari Boyer (Dan) of Lee’s Summit and two great grandsons, Dylan Boyer and Spencer Gobble of Lee’s Summit. Visitation will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Private burial will follow.
