She was a graduate of Kaimuki High School. She then worked for the United States Navy at Pearl Harbor, and May Company. Nora was delightful to be around, a friend to everyone she met. She was extremely knowledgeable in all areas, specifically in the kitchen. She was an excellent chef, cooking a variety of dishes from all over the world; especially her Hawaiian dishes. She was a faithful and active parishioner of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church. She took great pride in running the Beef Teriyaki booth at the annual St. Anthony's Fiesta for over 27 years. Once her children began raising their own families, she and Conrado decided to move to Las Vegas Nevada to enjoy retirement. Upon Conrado's passing, Nora moved to Roseville California to live with her son Geoff, daughter-in-law Melissa and youngest grandson Theodore. In her final years she took great joy in assisting and watching Theodore grow.
