Mrs. Norma Jean Deal Causby, 70, of Valdese, passed away on Tuesday, March 6,2018 at Burke Hospice & Palliative Care, following a period of declining health.
Norma was born on September 20, 1947 in Burke County to the late John Deal and Cora Shidal Deal. She was a beloved and devoted charter member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, and was retired from Valdese General Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John "Buck" Deal and Ricky Deal.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Causby of the home, three children, Dwayne Causby and wife Donna of Rutherford College, Erin Ball and husband Jared of Connelly Springs and Glenn Causby of Valdese, three sisters, Lorena Erwood of Icard, Frances Stovall of Connelly Springs and Shirlene Spann and husband Paul of Granite Falls. Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Lacey Causby, Cooper Ball and Hudson Ball, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Stacey Lane and Rev. Tony Land officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M at Solid Rock Baptist Church.
