Ocie “Harmon” Lawler, a product of The Great Depression, a hardworking man who led a simple life, passed away on April 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Graveside: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2017 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2017 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.



Harmon was born on February 10, 1916 in Winters, Texas to Thomas and Ruby Lawler. Harmon was an avid fishermen, and a “Mr. Fix It.” He played golf and gardened well into his 90s. Harmon served our country during World War II in Patton’s 3rd Army, 815th Army Air Corp Engineering Battalion. He retired from his business Reliable Roofing Co. in 1986 at the age of 70.



Those preceding Harmon in death: beloved wife; Corrine in 2014, parents, siblings; Curtis Lawler, Lucille Keetch, Geraldine Barton, Ruby Joyce Sanders, and T.J. Lawler.



Survivors: children; Tim Lawler, wife Alta Ann, Karen Bird, and husband Jerry, grandchildren; Julie Simmonds, husband Andrew, Jeromme Lawler, wife Micha, Chad Lawler, Jason Bird, wife Amanda, Justin Lawler, and wife Farah. Great-grandchildren; Lauren, Emma, Jackson, Jonah, Jacob, Amira and Nora, other survivors; brother-in-law Kenneth Sanders and sister – in – law Mary Ruth Lawler, and many numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
