“Olivia “Dee Dee” Diane Lane-Conliffe-Hubbard”

In the early afternoon of Wednesday, March 9, 2016, Olivia passed away peacefully at Chesapeake Regional Hospital in Chesapeake, Virginia. Olivia was 54 years old. Olivia was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 8, 1961. She was the oldest child of Nellie B. Lane and Sam Crosby.

Olivia was often called “the life of the party” and a “people magnet” because of her ability to make many friends wherever she would go.

Olivia was raised in Fayetteville, West Virginia where she attended Second Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. Dee Dee graduated from Fayetteville High School, where she was crowned homecoming queen. It was there she met her ex-husband Ron Conliffe, with whom she had two children (Roneshia Conliffe and Jennifer Conliffe-Forrest). Olivia attended West Virginia State University where she majored in Social Work. She found an early love for working with individuals with cognitive disabilities, and dedicated over 25 years of patience, guidance, and love to the field. Dee Dee managed to follow her sister’s lead and plant her final roots in Virginia, where she was employed at Southeastern Virginia Training Center for 17 years where she made several very loving friends and family. Upon leaving Southeastern, she became self-employed through the UP Center and dedicated her last years of living to bring a sponsor placement.

One day while driving to Southeastern, Olivia spotted a small sign that read “Calvary Revival of Chesapeake” and was called instantly and became a member of CRCC. Olivia loved to serve God, and truly enjoyed serving and attending prayer groups. Olivia finally managed to slow down and enjoyed her final days playing with, and spoiling, her three grandchildren.

Olivia was preceded in death by Nellie B. Lane (Mother) and Annie F. Rowe (Sister).

Olivia is survived by: Terrance Hubbard (Spouse); Phyllis Lane-Palin (Sister); Roneshia Conliffe (Daughter) and Jennifer (Daughter) and DeCarlo Forrest (Son-in-Law); three grandchildren (Amya, Jalen and DeCarlo II); Dominique (Donovan and Darian) Rowe (Nephews); and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held in Chesapeake, Virginia at Calvary Revival Church Chesapeake at 4 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2016.

Funeral services will be held in Fayetteville, West Virginia at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville at 1 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2016 with her uncle, Willie Mack Lane officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 noon on Sunday, March 20, 2016 until time of service at the funeral home.
