Oren E. White ATHOL- Oren E. White, 68, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2010. Oren leaves his devoted companion, Ellen “Pinky” Blakie of Athol; son, Mark T. White and his wife, Cindy, of Orange, and their children, Zachary White and his wife, Josie, of Athol, Jordan White of Arizona, Calloway White of Orange; his daughter, Michelle Koss of Grafton and her husband, Steve, and their children, Hayden and Shayna; a brother, Keven White and his companion, Karen, of Leominster; sister, Karen Bailey and her husband, Bruce; several nieces and nephews; he also leaves many close family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Blanche (Mundell) White and father, Elmer White, of Athol. Oren was born in Athol on July 24, 1942 and lived his entire life there. He graduated from Athol High School in 1961 and served in the Army National Guard from 1964 until 1971. Oren loved spending time at his home on White Pond, as well as car races, gardening, woodworking and photography. Oren worked for many years at Stan’s Auto Body and more recently before retiring at Gitto Global of Leominster. He was a member of the CARB’S Club and the White Pond Association. Oren was a strong man who loved his family and friends above all else. He will be greatly missed. The family wants to thank you for all your prayers, love, support and kindness throughout Oren’s illness and to our mother for her continuous support through this difficult time. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be Tuesday morning, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Highland Cemetery, Hillside Terrace (off Main Street), Athol, MA with Rev. Adam Randazzo, Pastor of the South Athol United Methodist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Gardner VNA, Hospice division, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440 for their dedication and support during this difficult time.
