ORLIN ALBERT ERICKSON January 10, 1935 ~ August 6, 2017 Orlin Albert Erickson, 82, of Woodland, WA, passed away August 6, 2017. He passed at Legacy Hospital Salmon Creek from complications with MDS, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bemidji, MN to Albert "Bert" and Mabel (Clemmer) Erickson, the eldest of 3 children. Orlin moved to Washington as a young boy and lived there most of his life. He was a Pilebuck Foreman for Willamette Western and Reidel Intl. and served in the National Guard Reserve. Orlin built and remodeled numerous homes in the Clark County area before finally retiring in Woodland. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved going to the stock car races. Orlin was the King of garage sales. He could spend all day looking for that one treasure to take home. He spent his winters vacationing in Yuma, AZ escaping the Washington rain. After retirement, he was able to enjoy multiple hunting trips with his son, Ron. Orlin truly enjoyed his retirement, he took yearly trips to Montana to visit his nephew. Every Thursday, Orlin, his brother and sister, would go out to breakfast, then take a ride in the country. Orlin is survived by his daughter, Mona Chambers (Randy Grills); son, Ron Erickson; 4 grandchildren, Renae, Stephanie, Jamie and Lucas; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Viola Sargent; brother, Floyd; numerous nieces and nephews; and his longtime sweetie, Joyce McIrvin. He was preceded in death by both parents. Celebration of Life service will be Sat., Sept. 16, 2017, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA starting at 10 a.m. Reception will follow.
