Oscar "Bud" Goodin, 95, of Ironton, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at a local health care center. The Martin, Kentucky native was born September 10, 1919, the son of the late Oscar Sr. and Hermine Goodin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Roach Goodin.
Mr. Goodin was a graduate of Martin High School, a U.S. Army Veteran, and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton. He was a former yardmaster for the C&O Railroad, a member of the VFW, enjoyed fishing, loved telling stories and was a good dad.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by:
a daughter: Pamela Ann Goodin
He is survived by:
a son: Randy (Louise) Goodin of Chattanooga, TN
nineteen great grandchildren
Graveside services will be 9:30 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Woodland Cemetery with Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio.
