Patricia B. Kelly Grosse Pointe Farms-age 89, passed away March 9, 2018. Patty was the beloved wife of the late Don E. Kelly, DDS and mother to five children Micki Kelly (Mike Josselyn), Colleen (the late Tim) Wright, Katie Kelly (Barry Proctor), Julia (Phil) McNelis, Jim (Pam) Kelly. And adored grandmother to 6 grandchildren Tom, Brittany, Molly, Will Wright (Colleen and Tim), James and William McNelis (Julia and Phil). Patty had a love of life with a quick smile for friends and family. She loved to travel, having visited all areas of the world including Russia, Japan, India, China, as well as throughout the United States. Patty was born before the depression and had clear memories of some of the more historic events that took place during her lifetime. She recalled eagerly waiting in line with her family at Kerby Elementary School for the pink sugar cubes of polio vaccine. She also proudly attended Martin Luther King's speech at Grosse Pointe High School weeks before his death. A Celebration of Life ceremony is being planned by her family. Inurnment will take place at the St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church Columbarium at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions appreciated to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, or a charity of the donors choice. "
