Pat was a great man who lived a modest life of quiet love, faith, dignity, and fairness; he was a true gentleman. Pat was married to the love of his life, Virginia Miley, for 64 years. They have 7 children: Coleen McKeon (Alfred), Timothy (Eileen), Annemarie Carey (Thomas), Patrick (Traci), Maura Turner (Paul), Tara Gaydar (William) and Kieran (Rebecca). He was a proud and loving grandfather of 23 lucky grandchildren: Brian, Brendan, Timothy, and Kara McKeon; Daniel, Thomas, Ryan, Kathleen, and Mary Kilduff; Kevin, Liam, Kiera, Aileen, and Conor Carey; Patrick and Kayla Kilduff; Fiona and Julia Turner; Liam Gaydar; and Delia, Noah, Kieran, and Hannah Kilduff. Pat was a graduate of St. Augustine Grammar School, Bronx, NY, and LaSalle Academy, Manhattan, NY. He was in the United Stated Army during the Korean War. Pat was a proud and loyal member of the FDNY for 38 years, retiring after 19 years as a Battalion Chief. He was a member of the FDNY Holy Name Society. A devout Catholic, Pat was a parishioner and usher of St. Ignatius Martyr Church, Long Beach, NY, since 1975. He had a life-long devotion to the Blessed Mother, Mary. As Pat was a supporter of charitable giving, we respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory be made to: FDNY343ride.com. Established in tribute to those lost on September 11, 2001, this charity run by FDNY volunteers, supports returning local area wounded veterans. All monies are used to provide for their special needs.
