Patsy Ann Marshall, 79, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 7, 1936 in Fort Madison, IA to Robert & Georgia Hierstein Heidbreder. She married Richard W. Marshall on May 29, 1958 in Roton, NM. He preceded her in death in 1995. She graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1954 and was a waitress for many years at ehe Lincoln Hotel, Conners Café and 10 years at the Cottage Café before retiring at the age of 70. She was a very kind, gentle & giving person who loved the outdoors, mushroom hunting, long walks, playing bingo and her many trips to Cantril. She will be forever missed in the lives of her children & grandchildren.
Patsy is survived by: 3-daughters: Arlene (Steve) Wilson of Donnellson, IA, Cathy Ough of Fort Madison, IA & Tina Newkirk of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Charlie (Bobbi) Marshall of Fort Madison, IA & Shad (Sonya) Marshall of Donnellson, IA; 12-grandchildren; 7-step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2-sisters: Esther Womack & Dorothy Ramsey both of Fort Madison, IA and a very special brother in law, Ron Steeples of Arbela, MO. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; 5-sisters: Emma Haendler, Nellie Rudd, Hazel Bentrim, Donna Steeples & Sandy Howe; 4-brothers: Robert, Richard, John & George Heidbreder.
Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Oakland Cemetery with Pastor Cheryl Simpson officiating. A memorial has been established for P.A.W. Animal Shelter and contributions may be left at King-Lynk or at the cemetery during the service.
