GARBER, Paul Jr., age 88, of Dayton, Ohio, died peacefully on Saturday May 20th, 2017, at the Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield Ohio. Paul was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1947. He attended Miami University the following year and in 1948 he began service in the Army for three years. Shortly after his army discharge, Paul worked at Chrysler Corporation where he began his long career in the transportation and shipping business. Paul worked over the years at Oxford Paper Co, Monarch Marking Systems, and then eventually retired from the Pitney Bowes Corporation in Miamisburg, Ohio. Paul was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Middletown Masonic Lodge. Paul also frequented the Middletown Moose Lodge where he was a member. In 1954 he married Carolena Giambrone (d. 1989), with whom he had four sons, David and wife Glenda (Dayton), Philip and wife Gloria (Cincinnati), Kevin (Cincinnati), and Alan (Lafayette, In). Paul remarried in 1992 to Norma Jean Hayes (d. 2016). Paul is survived by all four of his loving sons and his dear brothers Emerson Garber (Springfield) and Stanley Garber (Dayton) and brother-in-law, Jim Suggs, Phoenix, AZ (sister Wauhnita, deceased in 2012), and stepson Martin Hayes. He leaves 8 grandchildren with his memory, Ryan (w. Michelle) Garber, Sarah (h. Zachary) Bitzer, Ross (w. Emily) Garber, Karen Garber, Caroline Garber, Taylor (h. Chad) Wachs, Anthony (w. Samantha) Garber, and Paige Garber. He also leaves 6 great grandchildren, Xander Bitzer, Dylan Garber, Addison Garber, Wyatt Bitzer, Grant Garber, and Madelyn Garber. He has many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25th, 2017 at the funeral home. Deacon Gerald M. Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to
