Paul William “Bill” Mascho, Jr., passed away September 28 shortly after midnight surrounded by family.

Bill was born in Hot Springs to Paul and Julia Mascho. Bill graduated from Parkview High School in Little Rock before attending the University of Arkansas and later for UCA.

Outgoing and a friend to everyone he met, his laugh and love could fill up a room. Bill loved to fish and like most good fishermen; Bill could tell a good story. He also would put those stories and love on paper -writing poems and gifting them on special occasions.

LeAnn Mascho, Bill’s wife and companion of 24 years, will cherish the memories of their travels, Bill’s giant laugh, and all the beautiful, quiet moments she shared with her husband and best friend. Bill’s parents, Paul and Julia, will remember their son as an amazing athlete - full of kindness and with a mind of his own. His only brother, Stephen, learned a lot of “what not to do” on their many adventures while trying to keep up with light-hearted Bill. Bill will also be missed by his large extended family, friends from his many years at the Highway Department and the Post Office, and his “Happy Catholic” church family at St. Mary of the Springs.

A Rosary will take place at Gross Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 6 pm followed by a visitation from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 3 at St. Mary’s of the Springs Catholic Church at 100 Central Ave, Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will include Mike Mascho, Brent Gray, Lance Gray, Stacey Watson, and John Watson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Mascho, Stephen Gray Mascho Jr., Bob and Mary Logan, Tim and Tammy White, Bob and Debbie Stringer, Todd and Chris Frazior, Bob and Katie White, Stan Watson, Julie McBride, Debbie Foster, Angie Covey, Judy Garcia, the Albert Pike Post Office crew, Dr. William Cole, and CHI St. Vincent I.C.U. staff.
