Paul Lustgarten was attorney, former Superior Court Judge

Memorial services for Paul R. Lustgarten, 90, Indianapolis, an attorney and former Marion Superior Court judge, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 10, in Legacy Funeral Alternatives at Memorial Park. There will be no calling. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He died April 19.

A graduate of Lincoln University College of Law, Mr. Lustgarten was a judge with Marion Superior Court from 1975 to 1979. He also served the courts as a special judge into the 1980s.

He was an attorney with the law firm of Heeter, Johnson, Salb, and Williams for 40 years.

Mr. Lustgarten had served on the Indiana District Council for the Office of Price Stabilization as a hearing judge for the Indiana Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

A member of the Indianapolis and Indiana Bar associations, he had also been a deputy prosecutor.

He was a former secretary and director of the Antelope Club.

Active in Democratic politics, he was president of the Indiana Democratic Club in 1965-1966 and received the Outstanding Democrat award in 1965. He also served as chairman for several committees and was former Washington Township chairman.

Mr. Lustgarten was an Army veteran of World War II.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.

He was the widower of Ruth Pugh Lustgarten.

Survivors include nieces Joyce Probst, Deanne Miller; nephews Henry, Ralph Lustgarten.
