SENSENBAUGH, Paul S., age 94, passed away peacefully Monday, July 3, 2017 at Otterbein Springboro. Paul was born in Phillipsburg to Otis Sensenbaugh and Sadie Waymire Sensenbaugh. He moved to Dayton and found a job at Culp's Cafeteria, where he met his wife, Louise. Paul joined the Navy in 1942 and served in the American, European, North African and Asiatic Pacific Theatres during WWII. After his service in the Navy, Paul returned to Dayton and married Louise. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage before her passing. He retired from GM after 50 years of service. Paul was a faithful member of Washington Heights Baptist Church, where he served as a greeter and usher and participated in Young at Heart and Adult Bible Fellowship. He was an avid bicyclist, but his true passion was golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Dale, Lloyd, Mabel, Viola and Ohmer "Bill". Paul is survived by his sister Mary Via of Lewisburg, Ohio and his brother Kermit (Janet) of Michigan, numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Paul and Louise were also blessed with honorary children and grandchildren throughout their lives. His family and caregivers would like to extend a note of thanks to the Otterbein Springboro Neighborhood staff and the Otterbein Hospice staff for their kindness and compassion while Paul was in their care. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - Far Hills Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Avenue, with Pastor Roger Jensen, officiating. Burial will follow at Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
