Paul V. Eldien, 81 year old retired major of the Kansas National Guard, passed away with family by his side on May 30, 2017. Formerly of Lincoln, he now resides with our heavenly Father. Born November 17, 1935 in Madison Nebraska. Former state director and lobbyist with the United States Brewers Association, 18 year owner of a Dairy Queen franchise and car enthusiast. Paul was a loving husband of 52 years. He was known for his quick wit, his passion for cars and love for his family. Paul had an infectious personality that drew people in. He was kind, passionate, generous and loyal to all he met. Survived by loving wife, Pat Eldien; son, Ty Eldien and future daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fitzgerald, and daughter, Tricia Aldag and son-in-law, Richard Aldag; grandkids,Logan, Austin and Gavin Eldien, Amber and Kiersten Bass, and Hayden, Aubrey, Annalise and Ren Aldag; brother, Bill Eldien and sister-in-law, Kim Eldien; sisters, Jean Dahlquist, Sharon Wohlfarth and Shirley Johnson and brother-in-law, Rick Johnson. Preceded in death by mother and father, Rudy and Helen Eldien; son, Todd Eldien and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Peggy and Jack Gragert. CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held at the family’s church, Messiah Lutheran 1800 S. 84th St on Monday, June 5 at 3:38pm. GRAVESIDE SERVICE WITH MILITARY HONORS will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 6 at 10am (Please meet at Gate 2). Memorials to the family for further designation.
