Pauline C. McAuley (nee Pearce), 77, of Holiday City at Berkeley, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017. She began her life on 8th Street in Jersey City and once married moved to Bayville for 26 years before retiring to Holiday City 17 years ago. Throughout her years she worked at Western Electric and Wal-Mart, but her most valuable roles were wife, mother and grandmother.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 43 years, Patrick J. McAuley; her son Patrick A. McAuley and his wife Heather; her daughter Pauline A. McAuley and her wife Heather Patterson and her three grandchildren, Mason, Pearce, and Brennan McAuley.

In her spare time, she enjoyed a good crossword puzzle or a riveting game of 500 Rummy. Some of her favorite things to do were to watch old movies, game shows, Star Trek and the deer romping in her backyard. Her warm heart and loving smile could make you forget any troubles. And if that didn't work, a plate of her baked ziti or chicken parm would.yum. Her loyalty and friendship for friends and family was golden. And any utterance of "God Bless the Troops" would guarantee her to shed a tear. But the real apple of her eye was her husband Patrick. It was love at first sight when they met at an Elks function. Smitten by one look, she knew he was the one for her. Forty-three years of marriage, 2 kids, 3 grandkids and 8 dogs later she will be laid to rest after living a life full of love.
