Pauline Genevieve Buckler 88, loving wife, mother and grandmother lost her 10+ year battle with Alzheimer's on 3/28/2017. Pauline was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada on 12/2/1928 to Frederick and Minnie Parks. She grew up in the town of Kentville, Nova Scotia where she met her best friend and husband of 63 years, Beverley James Buckler. The couple were wed on June 10, 1952 and shortly thereafter moved to Chalk River, Ontario where he had a job with the Canadian Atomic Energy Commission. Pauline worked in the library at the Deep River nuclear power plant while Bev worked as a nuclear physicist.

They emigrated to the United States in 1956 when Bev took a teaching position in Wallkill, NY. Daughter Nancy was born that year and son Jamie came along in 1958. They moved to Long Island in 1960 and spent the next 30 years in Massapequa, NY. In 1984
a teaching contract in Germany opened up the world of travel and the couple spent the next 2 years exploring Europe. And in 1987 another teaching job took them to Brazil and while there they traveled extensively throughout South America.

They retired for good in 1992 in Chandler, AZ on a golf course in Sun Bird. She and Bev golfed regularly with their neighbors and friends. Pauline loved entertaining and often hosted barbecues and parties at their home. Pauline became interested in tap dancing and pursued that pastime for the rest of her life with the Dance Center of Sun Lakes. Pauline loved her children and grandchildren and was often at her happiest during the holidays when the family would be together.

After losing the love of her life in January of 2016, Pauline spent her time with her son and daughter before entering The American Orchards. She will be missed by her family: daughter Nancy Seyfferle, son-in-law Dean; son Jay and daughter-in-law Darlene; and 4 grandchildren: Alison, Michael, and Kelsey Buckler and Cara Babos.
