Peggy went to be with her Lord Sunday, July 2, 2017. She was born April 14, 2017 in Calista, Kansas to Mel and Rachel Foulk. She graduated from Kingman High School and studied further to become a RN. On October 26, 1957 she married Bert Akins and worked to put him through the Engineering College at OU. They shared almost 60 years of marriage together. Peggy and Bert loved to travel and together they visited 21 foreign countries. Peggy was a daredevil and would ride rollercoasters, hot air balloons, Para glide and bob sled. Peggy was an avid OU fan of all sports. She was active in Meals on Wheels, Whiz Kids, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, and the E.T. Sunday School Class at Church of the Servant. Peggy was preceded in death by her Daughter, Amy Akins; Parents, Mel and Rachel Foulk, Maude Foulk; brother, Norman Foulk; and Brother-In-Law, Ray Hawkins. Peggy is survived by her Husband Bert; Son and Daughter-In-Law Scot and Christie Akins; Grandsons Matthew and Michael Akins; Sister Nancy Hawkins; and close family nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017, at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
