"Loving Husband, Father, & Grandfather" Clyde – Phillip Edward "Phil" Inman, 80, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, June 16, 2017. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Mack and Maude Wright Inman. Phillip retired in 1999 with 41 years of service with Champion International. He was a member and district director of the Goldwing Road Riders Association. Phillip served as past Director of the Haywood County Red Cross and was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed his second home on Lake Douglas where he spent quality time there with his family. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Henson Inman; two daughters, Janet Pressley and husband, Tony, and Cathy Wyatt, all of Canton; five sons, Edward Inman and wife, Dawn, of Memphis, Tennessee, Weldon Inman of Clyde, Keith Inman and, Kim, of Boynton Beach, Florida, Ron Warren and wife, Rhonda, and Jeff Crowder and wife, Ronna, all of Canton; one brother, David Inman and wife, Ann, of Sanford; five grandchildren, Sarah Wyatt and Chris, Megan and Lauren Inman, Garrett Crowder, and Mandy Hawkins and husband, Steven; one great-grandson, Clayton Hawkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bobby Rogers and Reverend Barry Willett officiating. Entombment will follow at The Horizon at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
