Philip C. Thompson, 64, of Gloucester, formerly of Mission Hill, Boston, MA passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Monday afternoon, March 16, 2015. Philip was born in Everett, MA on July 31, 1950, the son of the late Gordon and Concetta (D'Amato) Thompson. He attended and graduated from English High School in Boston, where he also played football. Philip served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War while stationed in Hawaii. He was self-employed, working in the telecommunications business, installing telephone systems. He was an outgoing person with a large group of friends, mostly in the Boston area. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Bevilacqua and her husband, Robert, along with their four children, Brittany, Beau, Ava and Hana, of Dedham, MA; three sisters, Evelyn Delnino of Stoneham, MA, Eleanor Perriello and her husband, Eddie of Malden, MA, Barbara Parziale of Brockton, MA; two brothers, Ronald Thompson of St. Augustine, FL, David Thompson and his wife, Marie, of Norton, MA and his devoted ex-wife and friend, Kathleen O'Connell of Gloucester, MA. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth (Mayer) Thompson. There are no visiting hours and burial will be held privately.
