Philip was born on August 23, 1922 and passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Philip was a resident of Allentown, Pennsylvania at the time of passing.

He was a graduate of Allentown High School, Class of 1939; his nickname was "Flash." In 1943, he graduated from Lehigh University, and remained an active alumnus, attending events even through the last year of his life.

He would again resume his active naval duties during the Korean War, participating in the naval delivery of US Marines in invasion of Inchon.

Philip was a member of Masonic Blue Lodge # 720, Lehigh Consistory and the Shriners, Dallas, PA. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday in the St. Thomas More Catholic Church 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown. Calling hours are 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. Thursday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. 274 North Krocks Road, Allentown and 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. Friday in the church. Interment with military honors will be in the Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
