Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel for Phillip Wayne Richardson, age 54, of Gadsden, who passed away, January 25, 2017. Rev. Bruce Word will officiate. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Richardson was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. Phillip was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School Class of 1980 and graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Accounting. Phillip also owned his own Accounting Business and was employed as an area manager with Goodyear where he was known as "Tater". Phillip was a member of Dwight Masonic Lodge No. 550, Zamora Temple and the Royal Order of Jesters. Phillip was an avid golfer and a loving son, brother, husband and father. His great sense of humor and contagious smile will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Richardson; father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Doris McBurnett; and brother-in-law, Mike McBurnett.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tammy Richardson; daughters, Lauren Richardson and Hannah (Corey) Crowe; mother, Barbara Richardson; sister, Tammy Mercier; brother, Danny (Beverly) Richardson; sister-in-law, Betty (Vance) Greer; brother-in-law, Murray (Sandy) McBurnett; nieces and nephews, Andrew (Kelly) Richardson, Matthew Mercier, Trena (Chris) Clayburn, Jennifer (Matthew) Wall, Hayley (Stephen) Norman, Josh (Catherine) McBurnett, and Brett McBurnett; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Allred, Ronnie Battles, Brent Bunton, Larry Couch, David Forsythe, George Gruver, Pat McLeod, and Adam Weldon.
Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Phillip's golf buddies at the Gadsden Country Club.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital.

The family will accept friends Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
