August 11, 1940 - February 12, 2018 Phyllis Ann Fryman, age 77 of Albany, Oregon, died peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born to the late Carl Johnson and Cleo Morris Johnson in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Vista, California in 1942, and relocated to several other locations in California and Oregon before finally settling in Albany in 1956. She married the late Jerry Lee Fryman on April 2, 1960, in Stevenson, Washington. Phyllis worked as a waitress and several other odd jobs in Albany before marrying her husband, shortly after which she became a full-time mother of her three children. For over 15 years, beginning in 1969, Phyllis worked as the office manager for the family’s electrical contracting business, Right-Way Enterprises, Inc. After the business was closed in 1985, she focused on homemaking and spending time with her grandchildren. Phyliss’ hobbies included gardening, working in her yard, woodworking projects, and refinishing antique and other furniture pieces. She also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and working on home improvement projects. She particularly enjoyed sewing dresses and other garments for her four granddaughters. Survivors include her daughter Vickie Egan of Brownsville, sons Martin (Kim) and Mark (Melisa) of Albany; brother Wilbert (Lois) Johnson of Sweet Home; and grandchildren Racheal (Scott) Baker, James (Necia) Egan, Jenny (Kenne) Egan, Sarah (Selby) Abraham, Katie Egan, Trevor (Lindsey) Fryman, Micheal McDaniel, and seven great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18 at Fisher Funeral Home, 306 SW Washington St., Albany, with a celebration of life service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19 at Fishers.
