Ralph Hamline peacefully passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during the early morning hours of July 24th, 2017.

His successful life’s journey started in Pittsburg, Kansas on January 9th, 1923. The immediate family included 13 brothers and sisters, all dearly loved, and all preceded him in death. Ralph was quite the ballplayer growing up and never gave it up, playing in the senior softball leagues in his 80s. When not having fun playing ball, fishing, or bowling, he was working as a machinist with Lake City, Bendix, and Kansas City Power and Light, where he ended his working career.

In Kansas City, Missouri, he met his wife, Geneva Louise Barnett and started his own family of 4 children, growing to grandchildren and great grandchildren—-his quiver was full of arrows! His devotion to his Lord influenced his active involvement and leadership in the Baptist faith, including memberships at Beaumont, Calvary, Waldo, First of Raytown, and Immanuel Baptist churches. His counsel and influence is endearing to many and will be missed by all.

His wife, Geneva, preceded him in death and his survivors include his dearest friend, Bettie Noah, sons Dan (wife Carol), Randy (wife Jae), Paul (wife Gail) and his daughter, Becky Baker (husband John) with 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Friday July 28, 2017, with burial following. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm at the chapel.
