Randy Steven Burks 64 of Hot Springs was called to be with the Lord and his beloved grandson Donivan on the morning of Wednesday, January 24, 2018.

Randy had a kind, gentle soul that everyone loved to be around. His kind nature and generosity was admired by so many. He took people in, gave them a chance and helped them when nobody else would. He would literally give someone the shirt off his back. He was a huge supporter of our troops and contributed to many charities for them and kids. Randy was an Avid gun and knife collector. He loved to take his children and grandchildren shooting. He raised them all to be strong, just as he was. He was very good at building and fixing things which is why he was a carpenter for 39 years.
Randy always placed family above all else. He lived for his grandchildren. They brought him much joy and comfort. He was a fantastic provider, protector, supporter and a wonderful role model to all of them. A fantastic father, grandfather, husband and friend. A man of God, Randy was; now he has been called to do the Lords work In heaven while holding the hand of his grandson Donivan (1/4/98-8/15/13).

Randy is now reunited with his parents Samuel and Barbara Burks. As well as, siblings Betty Carter, Sammy Burks and Donnie Burks. Randy will be missed by his wife Belle Burks; daughters Jamie Burks of Hot Springs and Melissa Burks of Dallas; granddaughters Yazmyne Richardson of Dallas and Kianna Burks of Hot Springs; ex-wife and very dear friend Debbie Burks of Manteno, Illinois; a large extended family; and an even larger group of friends- all of whom he touched and who will continue to love him knowing this world has become a much darker place without the light of his warm heart and patience of his soul. Randy was truly loved by many and he will be very missed. He may be gone from this world, but only to a better one to keep watching over his family as he always has.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
