Randy Layne
Randy William Layne, 62, of Fairmont, Millersville Community, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland a son of the Tressie (Vincent) Layne of Fairmont and the late William Austin Layne.
He was self-employed lawn care and landscaper. He loved camping and fishing.
In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by his son Chad Layne and wife Amanda, of Fairmont; a step-daughter, Denna Sawitski, a step son, Jacob Sawitski and his brother Tim Layne, of Virginia.
Also surviving is his Aunt Dot Nicholas; his neices and nephews Aarron Sawitski, Sarah Sawitski, Stevie Moore Sr., Eric Ledsome, Desiree Layne, Misty Ledsome and Heather Allen; a special cousin, Pam Stevens and her husband Roger; Randy's best friends, Tommy Thompson and Chris Sawitski, as well as his friends and neighbors, JR Harsh and Joe Gribben.
In addition to his father, Randy was preceded in death by an Uncle, Earl Vincent and two aunts, Hilda Smith and Ruby Basnett.
Friends and family may call on Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, on Monday from 11am to 1pm. The funeral service will be at 1pm on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Claude Kinty officiating. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Morgantown Avenue, Fairmont.
