Rauland E. Heman, 81, of Manchester, died May 21, 2016 at the Maple Leaf Healthcare Center after a long illness. He was born in Danbury, NH on April 27, 1935 the son of Charles and Alvena (Fleury) Heman. He grew up in Manchester in the Queen City school system.

He was a proud veteran of the US Army National Guard for more than 20 years serving as a Sergeant in the Military Police. He was employed as a truck driver for Lane Construction Co. for many years, was a steward in Teamsters Union Local 633 and was also a member of the American Legion Post 79. Rauland loved getting together with his family and friends and he especially enjoyed the quiet times spent fishing and puttering in his workshop. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, brother and friend.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Stanley Heman.

Members of his family include his daughter Sharon Moreau and her husband Stephen of Manchester, his brother Hollis Heman of Hastings, OK and his three sisters Carol Ducasse and Marilyn Osborne both of Manchester and Althea Demars of Medford, OR as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday May 26 from 2 to 4 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Funeral Service was celebrated at 3:30 pm in the funeral home. Urn burial was private.
