Ray was born on January 1, 1970 and passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016.

Ray was a resident of Fort Worth, Texas at the time of his passing.

Ray attended a small rural, community school until he was old enough to attend and graduate from Birdville High School. After attending Decatur Baptist College, he received his undergraduate degree from Howard Payne College. he completed a Master's Degree and a Doctoral Degree in Counseling and Education from North Texas State University.

He was married to Patsy.
