Ray L. Bailor, 80, of DeWitt passed away Friday, January 20, 2017. He was a proud Air Force veteran.
Ray enjoyed many things in his lifetime. He loved anything with an engine. Cars, snowmobiles and motorcycles were a few of his specific passions. He also loved various sports along with camping, hunting and traveling. Ray was the kind of man who never met a stranger. There was always someone he knew wherever he went.
Much of his life was centered around his family. He was proudly married to his wife Saundra for 53 years and he'd boast about that. He loved spending time with all of his family and would always say that he was the luckiest person in the world because of them. He also loved his church family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorma Hughes. He is survived by his wife Saundra; daughter Deanne Bailor; son Tim (Stacy) Bailor; grandson Nathan, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, January 23 at Gorsline Runciman DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, MI. The funeral service will be held Tuesday January 24 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with a luncheon to follow at First Baptist Church of DeWitt. The family requests that contributions be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1215 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48915 or to First Baptist Church of DeWitt, 11068 S. DeWitt Rd., DeWitt, Michigan.
