Raymond "Ray" Alexander Sr., age 77, of Barrington, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his residence. He was the husband of Anne C. (Abatiello) Alexander to whom he has been married for the past 57 years.

Born in Warren, a son of the late Louis and Mary (Garcia) Alexander, he was a longtime resident of Barrington.

He worked as a machinist and tool maker for the former Kaiser Manufacturing until its closing. A true handyman known by all to fix or repair anything, Mr. Alexander was the owner and operator of the former Alexander's Repair Shop and the Barrington Rug Center. He was a talented welder and fabricator.
A huge fan of Tom Brady and Jimmy Johnson, he was an avid sports enthusiast of all kinds. He also enjoyed bowling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons; Raymond Alexander Jr., and his wife Kelly of Barrington, Edward B. Alexander of Barrington, Kenneth Alexander and his wife Paula of Cranston, David Alexander of Barrington, one brother; Louis Alexander and his wife Claudette of Warren, one sister; Louise Greenhalgh and her husband Richard of FL., nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one on the way, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frank Perna, Florence Foster, Rose Salcone, Lucy Martin, and Stella Oliver.

His Funeral will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00AM from the Wilbur Romano Funeral Home 615 Main St., Warren, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30PM in St. Luke's Parish, 108 Washington Rd., Barrington. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Burial in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Barrington.
