Mr. Blackwell was born on May 29, 1944 and passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

Mr. Blackwell was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing.

He was a retired member of the Columbus, NC Volunteer Fire Department, a United States Army Veteran, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 15 years, a successful business owner for over 30 years, served on the Columbus Town Council and was a past Master of the Poke County Unity Masonic Lodge #482.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Bryan Strickland. He was a retired member of the Columbus, NC Volunteer Fire Department, a United States Army Veteran, he worked for the United States Postal Service for 15 years, a successful business owner for over 30 years, served on the Columbus Town Council and was a past Master of the Poke County Unity Masonic Lodge #482. Beaver Dam Baptist Church Wednesday March 14th, 2018 12:30pm - 1:45pm 4693 Beaver Dam Church Road Roseboro, NC 28382 Beaver Dam Baptist Church Wednesday March 14th, 2018 2:00pm 4693 Beaver Dam Church Road Roseboro, NC 28382 : burial will be on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00pm at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.
