Raymond R. Wollitz, 88, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Raymond was an active member of Christ Fellowship of Northeast Florida. He loved the Lord and until his health began to fail, was very involved in church activities. He was very proud to have served his country during WWII as a Seabee in the US Navy. He was a police officer with the Jacksonville Sherriff's Department until consolidation. He formed Wollitz Builders, Inc., which is celebrating 45 years of construction in the Jacksonville Area. Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Dale; his parents, brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Raymond Wollitz, Jr.,(Cuc) of Kingsland, GA and Stephen Wollitz of Jacksonville, FL; step-son, Michael Clyburn (Tonya) of Etowah, NC; sister, Wilma Allen of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Holly Wollitz, Jennifer Wollitz, Emily Williams (Dave), Ashley Wollitz, Andrew Clyburn, Matthew Clyburn, Kelly Clyburn and Amy Clyburn; and three great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. A celebration of Raymond's life will follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's honor to Vitas Hospice or NE Florida Community Hospice.
