Redden Travis Parramore, was born in Munday, Texas on January 15, 1922 to parents Redden and Stella (Moore) Parramore. He passed away in Houston, Texas on July 6, 2017.

Redden - "RT" - loved aviation. He learned to fly in Dallas in the 1930s. He attended the Navy College Education Program at Texas Christian University and after commissioning became a top-rated instructor pilot for WWII naval aviators. He continued service as a U.S. Navy officer during the war in Korea and later helped introduce jet aircraft into Navy flight training. He retired with the rank of commander.

RT Parramore worked for the City of Houston after his military retirement and then devoted much of his time to competitive contract bridge. He was awarded Silver Life Master by the American Contract Bridge League.

RT Parramore married Mary Blair Parramore, also a U.S. Navy veteran, who became an elementary school teacher in the Spring Branch ISD. She passed away on July 29, 2012 at the age of 90. RT is survived by children Margaret Wallace and husband Doc, Paula Potts and husband David, John Parramore and wife Mary, six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, brother, Leroy Parramore, sister, Traphene Hickman, and a host of loving relatives and dear friends.

At 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 13th graveside services will be held at Houston National Cemetery with military honors provided by members of the U.S. Navy and VFW Post #8790 Honor Guards. Reverend Curtis Hordge will officiate.
