Funeral services for Reginald Dean Allen, 71, of Dudley, who died Wednesday, November 23, 2016, will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in Fisher Funeral Home Chapel in Cochran.
Reggie was born in Henry County to the late Linzy and Onice Nail Allen. He had lived in Laurens County since 1998, when he retired from Civil Service with the Post Engineers at Ft. Gillem and Ft. McPherson. In addition to being a farmer, he was also a pilot with Coody Ag Service. Reggie was proud to be a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He also loved fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby G. Allen.
Survivors include: wife, Wanda Allen of Dudley; children, Regina (Jason) Andrews of High Falls, Tiffanie Allen of North Bethesda, MD, Tim (Brandi) Allen of McDonough, and Brian Gaulke of Chester; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Shirley (Jimmy) Bonner of Covington; and a brother, Wesley (Sandra) Allen of Milan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Rifle Association of America (https://joinnra.nra.org/donate.aspx), 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA, 22030. The family will be at the Allen residence, Davis Road in Dudley and will meet friends Monday night from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Cochran.
