Richard A. Buttina CDR Found Eternal Peace December 25, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Milne). Proud and loving father of Jennifer (William) Kastner, Jessica (Robert) Armbruster and Adam Buttina. Preceded in death by his infant daughters Sarah Lynn and Julie Ann. Cherished "G'Pa" of Abigail, Nicholas, Delanie, Ellie and Ian. Dearest brother of Adelaide (Craig) Spencer. Also survived by nieces, nephews, colleagues, students and many good friends. Richard graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts before joining the U.S. Navy and attaining the rank of Commander. After his retirement from the Navy he received his Masters Degree in Education and taught 5th grade for 18 years at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Menomonee Falls. He enjoyed playing the banjo, sailing on Lake Michigan and most importantly he loved spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers memorials in Richard's name may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or to the American Cancer Society. JAMES T.
