Richard E. Stine, age 90, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia, Port Orange, FL. Born in Trenton, Mr. Stine was a lifelong area resident before moving to Florida 29 years ago. Mr. Stine served honorably in the US Navy. He was employed with American Standard for over 30 years. After retiring he was asked to be a consultant for American Standard International. In that capacity Mr. Stine traveled to the company's locations abroad and helped the plants improve their production. While living in New Jersey, Mr. Stine was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville. Mr. Stine was a member of the Antique Car Club of Florida. Mr. Stine was a Free Mason of the Masonic Temple for 57 years. Predeceased by his parents, William and Elsie (Stickler); his brother, Wilber; his sister, June Dumont; and his wife of 64 years, Joyce L Johnson Stine. He is survived by his sister, Alice Baldwin of Pittstown, NJ and her children; his sister, Norma Rhea of Savannah, GA and her children; and his brother, George and his wife, Paula, of Washington, NJ and their children; his brother-in-law, Frank Dumont, Sr. and his children; his nephew, Michael McMullen and his wife, Kim, of Newburgh, NY; his sister-in-law, Margaret Johnson of Lawrenceville; his niece, Kelly Johnson Wolf and her husband, Paul, and their children of Lawrenceville, NJ; his niece, Lorie Johnson Zangrilli and her husband, Robert, and their children of Pennington, NJ. Richard (Dick) will long be remembered by his friends for his love and laughter. He was especially close to his friends John Godbee of Daytona, Robin Towner of Port Orange, Dawn Sautter of Flagler Beach, Bethel Martin and her family of Daytona, Marina Mulcahy and her husband of Daytona Beach, Amor Cayton and her husband of Daytona and Skip and Marianne Lustig of Millville, NJ. Mr. Stine will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
