August 9, 1922 - July 1, 2017

Robbie Pansy Hill Elliott, surrounding by her family, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Robbie was born in Eudora, Arkansas on August 9, 1922, the sixth child and fourth daughter of Andrew and Verna "Onie" Hill.

From the union of Robbie and Thomas Varner was born twin boys. Born too soon, the Lord took one to his care and entrust the other to his loving mother. Tom was her baby boy and the apple of her eye.

The 1950's found Robbie working for McDonald Douglas soddering circuit boards for the new DC-10 aircraft line - imagine our Robbie as "Rosie the Riveter." It was here Robbie met Lee Henderson and God blessed her with a second family that added to her care another boy and girl. With the "Race to Space" era, the family found themselves relocated to England and a whole new adventure began. After their return from England, Robbie and Lee gave their lives to Christ and thus began their active involvement in a Costa Mesa Church that later became Calvery Chapel. Two trips to Israel and the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River by Rev. Chuck Smith was a favorite memory. After retirement, Robbie and Lee relocated to Onalaska, Texas and joined the Texas Baptist Men's Building Association. Together they traveled by motor home building affordable churches for various communities throughout the South. Lee worked with the electrical crew and Robbie joined the women in making quilts.

After Lee passed, Robbie found herself in Chico, California close to her brother Fred. Robbie loved her family and it was not unusual for this fiercely independent soul to get into the car and go - traveling from California to Lousiana and back again - all by herself. During one of these trips to see a long time friend in Barstow, Robbie was introduced to Frank Elliott and the two were married for the next 12 years until Frank passed in 2006.

Robbie traveled the world and experienced life to its fullest. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Barstow, and sang in the Not Done For Yet Adult Choir. Robbie was a gracious hostess to all who entered her home.

Robbie is survived by her Husband Howard Baily of Barstow; Son Thomas Varner and his wife Carolyn of Hawthorne; Granddaughter Casey (James) Ward; Grandson Jeremy (Lorena)Varner; Great grandchildren Emily, Carly and Cooper Ward & Maya and Reena Varner; Beloved bonus Son Gary (Christine) Henderson of Las Vegas; Granddaughters Joy Henderson & Phyllis (Paul) Ferraro; Daughter Linda Price of Atlanta; Grandsons Matthew, Teddy, Jack, Brandon & Brian Price; Senta Greisinger; Frank (Judy) Elliott, Jr.; Grand-daughter Carrianne McElrath and numerous Great Grand Children and Nephews and Nieces.

Robbie was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Verna (Jones) Hill; one precious baby boy, Weyman; her four sisters and four brothers.

"Robbie H" thank you for sharing your life with us and may the Lord bless and keep us all until we meet again.
