Of Jackson, MI, formerly of Detroit, MI, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the age of 93. Robert was the son of Robert Durfee and Irene Ella (Jones) Albertson born July 13, 1924 in Detroit, MI. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Claire (Schulze) Albertson; son, Dr. Robert (Katherine) Albertson III and their daughter Megan (Nicole) Albertson. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Albertson; granddaughter Whitney Albertson and his parents. He was a graduate of Redford High School and Wayne State University with his Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts. Robert owned and operated Albertson Building Company for over 20 years. He was a member of Nardin Park Methodist Church in Farmington Hills, Kiwanis in Farmington and Oakland County Builders Association. He enjoyed boating, spending many winters in Florida and traveling. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at Grandlawn Cemetery in Detroit at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nardin Park Methodist Church, 29887 W. 11 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336.
