Bob was born in Providence Rhode Island July 22nd, 1930 and died Friday March 3rd, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He moved to North Easton, Massachusetts when he was 17. After high school he joined the Air Force and reported for duty at Otis Air Force Base in Cape Cod. When he was discharged he was offered a job with Boeing in Seattle. Because he loved the west and snow skiing he made the decision to accept the job with Boeing. He married Beverly Hollertz and they moved to Seattle. After 3 years, Bob, Beverly and sons David and Dean moved back to Massachusetts to be closer to family. Bob went to work for MIT for 9 months. But the Northwest was missed so much they returned to Seattle. He returned to work with Boeing as a Research Technician. And before long Boeing appreciated his work and offered him a position as an Instructor for the Minuteman Missile program in Seattle. Due to the rainy Seattle climate his daughter was often ill. The doctors recommended a warmer climate for better health. Bob was reluctant to leave because he loved the Northwest. But Boeing offered a position as a computer analyst with the space program at Cape Canaveral, Florida. When the man landed on the moon the space program slowed way down. Bob took a job with the state of Florida in Tallahassee. This was not like working for the space program! As soon as Boeing needed staff at Cape Canaveral Bob returned to work at Cape Kennedy until 1990. In retirement there were many family gatherings, ski trips, cruises etc. He leaves his wife Beverly of 64 years and daughter Donna Elliott and husband Scott of Atlanta, son Dean Iacampo and wife Tamara, granddaughter Tricia Leonard and husband Danny, daughter-in-law Lisa Iacampo-Powell and granddaughter Danielle Iacampo, great grandson Jackson Miller and Jackson's father John all of Tallahassee. Bob is proceeded in death by his son David (2006) and his granddaughter Tara Miller (2015). Bob will be sorely missed by all. Bob's funeral services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church 65 Needle Blvd Merritt Island on Thursday March 9th. Viewing 1pm at the Church, followed by the service at 2pm and reception at the church following the service. Interment service will be held at Culley's Meadowwood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Rd Tallahassee, FL on Sunday March 12th at 1pm followed by reception inside.
