Col. Hopkins was born on January 1, 1963 and passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Col. Hopkins was a resident of Elizabethton, Tennessee at the time of passing.

A memorial service for Col. Hopkins will be conducted on Monday, June 19, 2017, at 7:00 PM at Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Calvin Jett officiating. A graveside and committal service will be conducted in Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
