Robert (Bob) Arthur Milbrandt

Bob was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, July 18, 1937, to Arthur W. Milbrandt and Ethel M. Neiman. In Sacramento, CA, Bob met Jacqueline J. Dean and they were married in Power, Idaho in 1957. Bob spent his early youth in Fairmont, Minnesota. While in his teens, his family moved to Pueblo, CO, then to Southern California where he graduated from Monrovia High School. He then served in the United States Air Force.

After leaving the Air Force, Bob took over the family floor covering business, Milbrandt's Carpet Service, and for 45 years was known as a master craftsman for his skill and expertise in the trade. Additionally, Bob was relied upon by many other local floor covering businesses when there were particularly complicated or difficult installations and major repair jobs that required his level of expertise. When his knees were done; he moved to estimating, and floor-covering sales until his retirement.

Bob played Sousaphone and Tuba, and once marched in the Rose Parade and played in the American Legion Band Post 61 for about 30 years. He had a great love of music, especially Big Band, Marching Band, and Polka. He said Polka music was enjoyable, because it was almost always happy music. Additionally, Bob loved cars, especially old cars, and was virtually a walking encyclopedia for vintage and classic cars. Bob had a fun sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with the people he loved, especially his family. He always, and especially loved spending time with his granddaughters. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bob had great faith, and found strength and comfort in it.

Bob is survived by his daughter Ardean Baggs and husband Stephen Baggs; granddaughters, Alaina Baggs Beckom (Wynton), Siara Baggs, and Kathryn Bostwick; delightful great-grandson Dyllan Cooley. Dear sisters, Ruth Ghiselli (David) and Carol Kerns. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Jacqueline Milbrandt, son W. Scott Milbrandt, and beloved granddaughter Jennie Cooley in 2008, and brother-in-law Robert Kerns in 2016. He leaves behind nieces and nephews: Kathryn Page, Kenneth Lynn; Edwin Ghiselli (MelissAnne), Emma Ghiselli; Dianna Bolduc (Brian), Bobby Kerns; and several grand-nieces and nephews. Bob was dearly loved by his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
