Music is a part of our lives from the moment we enter the world until the moment we leave it. An avid listener of "Big Band" music and a musician in his own right, Robert C. Villio died peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years young. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Jules Villio and Grace Montelepre Villio; and sister Jean. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Harlene Ploger Villio. He was a devoted father to his sons Robert C. Villio, Jr. and his wife, Brenda; Ray Villio and his wife, Priscilla; and daughter Deborah Villio. He was Paw Paw to his four grandchildren, Rachel Tabony and her husband, John; Matthew Villio and his wife, Julie; Jill Villio and Robert C. Villio, III; and Grand Paw Paw to Addison, John and Parker Tabony and Caroline Villio. He was also "Dad" to Antoinette Mastrangelo, mother of Rachel and Robbie.

Robert graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School where he met and went on to marry his high school sweetheart Harlene. He served in the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged. After retirement, Robert spent the last couple of decades of his life playing music, both clarinet and saxophone, in the Ken Veca Big Band, the American Legion Post 175 Band, and the Jefferson Community Band. He loved bringing joy through music to seniors at local senior care facilities and special events.
