Robert Curtis Fowler, Sr., passed away June 30, 2016, following a day of doing what he loved. He was born in Roseburg,
Oregon on March 20, 1940, one of five children to Virgil and Julia Fowler. He worked for many years as a Foreman machine
adjustor for Mailwell Envelope before retiring. He loved his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his
wife of 44 years, Judy Fowler, and four children: son Ron Fowler and his wife Susan of Beavercreek, OR; son Scott Fowler and
his wife Karli of Milwaukie, OR; son Robert Fowler, Jr., and his wife Adrienne of Silverton, OR; daughter Tracie McClements and her
husband Shon of Milwaukie, OR; eight grandchildren: Brian Fowler and his wife Becky, Michael Fowler, Curtis McClements,
Morgan Fowler, Lilly Fowler, Amanda McClements, Samantha Fowler, and Georgia Fowler. His lone surviving brother
is Glen Fowler and his wife Judy of Lone Pine, CA, and his only sister Helen Schatz and her husband Ray of Roseburg, OR.
He served in the US Marine Corps. He loved fishing and piddling around with his best friend of 38 years, Richard "Slim"
Evensen. He loved watching news on TV and arguing politics. He had a great sense of humor and spent his whole married
life trying to "trick" his wife, which he did often. He was funny and kind and caring, and would help anyone in need. He
loved to make chili and finally made what he described as the perfect batch the week before he passed away. Services will
be held at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR 97086 on Monday, July 11 at
1:30 PM with military honors at Willamette National Cemetery following. Reception afterwards at the home of Slim and Lynn Evensen
located at 21671 SE Edward Dr., Damascus, OR 97089.
