Rob "Cowboy" Green rode on to heaven on September 1, 2016. He lived Life larger than anyone. As a World traveler, he made friends wherever he went.
Rob was born on July 11, 1954 to Harold and Wanda Green in Portage, Michigan. He was a 1972 graduate of Portage Central High School and attended the University of Michigan.

In 1976, Rob rode West to work in the geophysical industry. He worked for various geophysical companies for the next decade all over the Rocky Mountains. Flying in helicopters in and out of the mountains was his mode of transportation, known in the industry as, 'Beat the rush, fly to work'. During this time, he made numerous lifelong friends.

In the mid 80's, Rob changed careers and began working for the "Forest Circus."

Then in 1991, he began working for Phillips Kiln Service, aligning large lime and cement kilns. He continued to work as an Alignment Supervisor until his death.
Rob was a keen observer and lover of nature and his surroundings. He was an avid outdoorsman who spent his off-time hunting and fishing near his beloved mountain home. He was also an animal lover. Rob had a special connection with his pets throughout his life. Whether he was hunting elk in the Greys or floating the Salt, he was most at peace.

Rob loved riding anything that was fast and loud, especially his Harleys. Above all, he loved his family and friends.

He was a loving father, husband, and mentor who will be missed by all.

Rob is survived by his wife, Marlene O'Leary; his son, Christian Green; brothers Don and Brian; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Per Rob's wishes, he was cremated and his ashes will be spread in this favorite places around the World by his friends and family.
Rob's 'Celebration of Life' will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Donn Wooden Civic Center, 111 US Highway 89, Alpine, Wyoming.
