Lee, Robert E., 90, a fifth generation Floridian, was born and raised at Lake Charm in Oviedo. He graduated from Oviedo High School in 1944 and immediately joined the Navy. Discharged from the Navy 1946, he then enrolled in the University of Florida and graduated in 1950, majoring in animal science. He was a lifelong cattleman. He was a director and past president of the Seminole County Cattleman’s Association. He also served on the board of directors and past president of the Seminole County Farm Bureau. He was appointed to an agricultural advisory committee for the Seminole County Commissioners. He was awarded outstanding young farmer by the Sanford Seminole County Junior Chamber of Commerce. He was a director from 1964 to 1988 of the Sanford Atlantic National Bank that later became a branch of The First Union Bank. He is survived by four sons, Bobby (Gail), Rick (Sheryl), John (Gail), David (Christy) all of Oviedo and daughter Patricia (Ken) Hendry of Milledgeville, GA. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo, 263 King Street, Oviedo. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
