Robert Henry Weber, 87, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 2:22 PM, Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 while in the company of family members, at his residence. Robert was born in Grand Rapids, MI on March 27, 1930, a son of the late Mildred (Jones) Bursly and William J. Weber. Robert grew up in the Grand Rapids community and attended school there. After school, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Cpl. during the Korean War. He was the widower of Vada Eileen (Gulley) Weber. On February 18, 1950, they were married at the Rising Sun Nazarene Church. Bob and Vada were married over 47 years until her passing. He worked as a maintenance specialist at Pierson-Hollowell in Lawrenceburg, IN., retiring in 1992. Bob was a member of the Rising Sun American Legion Post 59 Color Guard. He was also a member of the Korean War Veterans Association. Bob enjoyed fishing and also collected guns, knives, and anything with a western theme.

Robert is survived by four daughters, Judith A. Combs(Larry), of Patriot, IN; Myra D. Walston(Doug), of Rising Sun, IN; Barbara S. Ravenscraft(Bill), of Patriot, IN and Eula J. Frondorf(Roger), of Rising Sun, IN; by five sons, Robert D. Weber(Wendy), of Patriot, IN; Douglas E. Weber(Lara), of Aurora, IN; Mark A. Weber, of Florence, IN; Donald D. Weber, of Rising Sun, IN and Kenneth L. Weber(Kayla), of Florence, IN; by 34 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; by two brothers, Donnie Weber, of Michigan and Jerry Bursly, of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife Vada (Gulley) Weber, by 2 sons, Timothy M. Weber and Terry W. Weber, by daughter Cynthia D. Guard, by brother Bill Weber and by sisters, Marie Payne and Virginia Bursly.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Saturday, March 10th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Visitation will be Friday 5-8 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family. marklandfuneralhome.com
