ROBERT ISMAY Graveside services for lifelong Cortez resident Robert Ismay will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 3 at Cortez Cemetery. Robert was born September 15, 1930 in Cortez the son of John Harvey and Eleanor (Heffernan) Ismay. He passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 86. Robert graduated from Mancos High School and then went on to Western State College where he graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts. Robert served his country in the United States Army for two years and then spent eight years in the Army Reserve. Robert thoroughly loved to collect items. Surviving Robert are his sister, Lavera Hatch of Hatch, Utah and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Joe Ismay, Raymond Ismay, Eugene Ismay, Anna Wallace, Louise Bein, Irene Negro, and Dorothy Davis.
