A strong man was lost with the death of Robert L. Wilkinson, 88, on January 24, 2018. Bob was born in Drummond, Oklahoma and lived in several states prior to retiring in Alabama. As a young man he was known for his charm, intellect, athleticism, and love of fast cars. He played on numerous sports teams throughout school, served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict, and earned his degree at Idaho State University as an Alpha Kappa Psi. Following his graduation, he worked as a comptroller until his retirement.

Bob coached little league when his children were young and enjoyed golf throughout his life. After the loss of his wife, he joined the Montgomery Bridge Club, and spent many happy hours with new friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Belva, parents Lowell and Shirley, brother Billy, daughter, Bobette and granddaughter Nicole. He is survived by his children Vicki Little, Debra Goebels, Kelli Sayre and son Daren Wilkinson as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob's strength of character, deep integrity, dry wit, and honesty will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held Saturday, January 27 at Leak Memory Chapel at 2 PM with a visitation at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
